Auditions – Second Sequence

The American Shakespeare Repertory is casting an acting company for the Second Sequence of the Complete Readings of William Shakespeare. The series — which will present every poem, play, and sonnet — continues from March 2010 thru October 2010.

WHEN:
January 30th (Saturday)
12:00 to 5:00 pm

WHERE:
Minneapolis Public Library – Central
300 Nicollet Mall – Minneapolis, MN 55401
Second Floor
Conference Room N-202

HOW:
E-mail hamlet9000@thealexandrian.net for an appointment. If possible, include or link to a digital copy of your resume/headshot. (Please bring hardcopies to your audition.)

PREPARE:
1-2 classical monologues no more than 2 minutes in length. The audition will also include a cold reading.

DETAILS:
Each play will receive 4-5 rehearsals before the public reading. The rehearsal schedule will be flexible and depend on the availability of the actors involved.

We are looking for a company of actors who can perform across multiple shows, but will also be casting on a show-by-show basis (so those who are only available/interested in one or some of the readings should still try out!).

Rehearsals will take place in south Minneapolis. Our performances are sponsored and hosted by local theater companies — including Theatre in the Round, Walking Shadow Theater, Theater Unbound, and Gremlin Theater — with our final performance schedule for the Second Sequence waiting to be finalized.

These positions are unpaid.

The role of Hamlet has been cast. All other roles are available.
